From a sociological and criminological perspective, crimes against life and body are the most elementary form of criminality. In our legal system, there are two types of criminal offenses against life and body – natural and legal. “Natural criminal offenses, unlike so-called legal criminal offenses (whose incrimination in the law depends on the social organization in the country), are those acts that have always been and will always be criminal offenses, regardless of all changes in historical sense and the development of human society.” Natural criminal offenses against life and body are accepted in society as a consequence of genetic predispositions, not the way we live and the conditions in which we live. Although predispositions are significant, the way of life and the environment largely affect the quality of general health. In addition to the appearance of injuries or diseases, the deterioration of an already compromised health condition appears as a consequence. Human actions on the environment lead to a community that can act aggressively, passively, or proactively. Communities that do not want to implement certain self-limiting measures and do not want to give up their comforts experience greater discomfort in the long run. This project represents a continuation of my previous artistic-research work, whose field of interest is the environment in which I live. In the works, I try to show the existential problems and degraded value system that can cause violations of physical and mental health. My artistic practice speaks of the conditions that affect health: inadequate housing conditions, inadequate and uncontrolled heating, and pollution of the environment.
